Grand Theft Auto VI scheduled for release in fall 2025

Grand Theft Auto VI, one of the most eagerly anticipated games of all time, remains on course for a fall 2025 release, according to a latest report from parent company Take-Two Interactive. While fans have been concerned about the possibility of a delay until 2026, Take-Two has reassured that there are no plans to change the release date for the hit Rockstar Games title.

In a press announcement, Take-Two emphasized the continued success of the Grand Theft Auto series and noted that high expectations are high for GTA VI to launch in the second half of 2025. This was a much-needed clarification after earlier in the year there was speculation that the game could be released in the first half of 2025, but later confirmed a later release in that year.

The very first official GTA VI trailer was released in December last year, giving fans a sneak peek at the new story, which will take place in a Miami-inspired Vice City with surrounding regions reminiscent of Florida. The trailer also confirmed the presence of two protagonists, including a playable woman named Lucia, a long-awaited feature for fans.

Even though GTA VI is considered a crucial game for Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive, fans have been nervous about the possibility of a delay, especially in light of the current industry strikes. However, a spokesperson has confirmed that GTA VI is not affected by the shutdown, which gives added assurance that the game will be released on time.

The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is highly anticipated by gamers around the world, and 2025 is looking set to be a crucial year for the video game industry with the arrival of this renowned title.
